Jose Jimenez works with Lyons Law Group to provide comprehensive patent and trademark counsel to innovators, entrepreneurs, and businesses.
Jose Jimenez is a registered Patent Attorney who prepares and prosecutes patent applications and trademark applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He also advises clients on trade secrets, copyright law, and comprehensive intellectual property (IP) strategies to protect and maximize the value of their innovations.
Before founding the Jimenez Law Firm in 2019, Jose served as Chief Intellectual Property Counsel for American Medical Systems and was a partner at two leading Minnesota IP law firms—Patterson & Thuente and Kagan Binder PLLC. His background includes extensive corporate transactional law experience from senior in‑house counsel roles at multiple Fortune 500 companies, as well as operational leadership in both the U.S. and Latin America as a General Manager and Quality Director.
In addition to his legal practice, Jose is on the faculty of Patent Resources Group (PRG), where he teaches Patent Strategies for Business, helping companies align their IP portfolios with long‑term business goals.
Fluent in spoken and written Spanish, Jose Jimenez leverages his bilingual skills to serve a broad range of clients with precision and care. Away from his legal work, he enjoys golf and tennis, as well as camping and exploring the outdoors. An avid reader, Jose’s interests span both fiction and business literature, reflecting his curiosity and commitment to continuous learning.
